Central Pennsylvania Convention & Visitors Bureau Announces new Executive Director
The Board of Directors for the Central Pennsylvania Convention & Visitors Bureau (CPCVB) is proud to announce that Jeffrey S. Vasser has been appointed to the position of CPCVB
Following an extensive national search, led by Pyramind LLC, an executive search firm from Falls Church, Virginia who specializes in placement of top executives in the non-profit tourism
industry, Vasser was selected as the new Executive Director.
Vasser is a hospitality industry expert having received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and a master’s degree from Columbia University.
Vasser served as President & CEO for the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority from 2002 – 2013, while simultaneously serving as the Executive Director for the Greater Atlantic
City Sports Foundation. Most recently, Vasser served as the CEO for the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association in Miami, Florida and later, as Regional Vice President for BR Guest Hospitality in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Board of Directors.
Over the coming few months, Vasser will relocate his wife and two children to State College, while having assumed his new role on March 19th. “We look forward to Jeffrey hitting the ground running as he is excited to meet everyone in our county” said Edward Tubbs, Vice President of the CPCVB Board of Directors.
The CPCVB will be announcing a reception date soon to create an opportunity for the organization to introduce Vasser to the community.
The CPCVB is the recognized tourism promotion agency for Centre County having continuous success at encouraging visitors to Penn State and the county. The visitors’ bureau maintains a Welcome Centre and offices at the corner of Park Avenue and Porter Road, University Park, PA.
