Hospitality Asset Management Company COO Serves on Choice Conference Panel & Receives Hotel Awards

Hospitality Asset Management Company’s Chief Operating Officer, Edward Tubbs, spoke on an owner’s panel at this year’s 65th annual Choice Hotels International convention in Las Vegas. Moderated by Choice Hotels Chief Commercial Officer, Robert McDowell, Tubbs was among three owners selected to speak to the 5,000 hotel owners, general managers, and industry executives. The panel discussion was designed to explore different ways for owners and franchisees to work jointly with Choice Hotels to continue to improve customer experiences, overall hotel amenities, return on investment, and capital projects. The panel discussion took place as part of the opening Corporate Business Section of the conference.

Choice Hotels Conference Panel & Awards

Tubbs also had the privilege of receiving three prestigious awards while at the conference on behalf of some of the Choice hotels operated within the Hospitality Asset Management Company portfolio. The Carnegie Inn & Spa, part of the Choice Ascend Collection, was a recipient of the Platinum Award, while the Quality Inn State College and Comfort Inn PA Turnpike, Carlisle, won Gold Awards.

“Having the opportunity to not only speak on my extensive experiences with Choice Hotels but also receive awards that recognize our hotels’ dedication to guest satisfaction, was truly an honor. As we are always open to learning from others in this industry, I hope I was able to provide some key takeaways to my peers on how our successful hotels work in conjunction with Choice Hotels on a daily basis,” said Edward Tubbs.

The Choice Hotels Platinum and Gold Awards are based on a ranking system that measures key areas, such as guest satisfaction and superior service. Additional award criteria are evaluated by Choice Hotels through its official property ranking reports. Platinum designated hotels represent the top 3 percent of hotels within their respective Choice Hotels brand. Gold Awardees represent the top 10 percent of hotels within each Choice brand.
