Days Inn Penn State Receives Major Honors

The Wyndham Hotel Group at its Global Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, has named the Days Inn Penn State, located at 240 S. Pugh Street in State College, Pennsylvania, as the recipient of both of the highest awards attainable by a Days Inn hotel: the 2017 Hotel of the Year within the Days Inn brand, and the 2017 Global Hotel of the Year within Wyndham’s economy segment.

The Days Inn Hotel of the Year designation is the highest honor achievable within the worldwide Days Inn hotel brand, which spans nearly 1,800 locations. The Wyndham Global Hotel of the Year designation is the highest honor within Wyndham’s economy segment of hotels, which consists of more than 6,100 hotels including Super 8, Microtel Inn & Suites, Travelodge, Howard Johnson and Knights Inn.

Criteria for the prestigious award include outstanding execution in each of the following categories: Superior accommodations, Excellent evaluation scores, Exceptional guest satisfaction and Positive operating performance.

“This is truly an honor to receive the Hotel of the Year award once again,” said Edward Tubbs, General Manager of the Days Inn Penn State and Chief Operating Officer for Hospitality Asset Management Company, the hotel’s operator.
