Hospitality Asset Management Company Welcomes New Human Resources Manager and Digital Marketing Manager

Hospitality Asset Management Company has continued its steady growth by adding a Human Resources Manager, Maryann Stassen, and Digital Marketing Manager, Chelsea Newsock, to its roster.

Maryann most recently worked as the Staffing Director for Stassen Insurance Agency, a family-owned agency out of Illinois. She gained her knowledge in the industry at Missouri State University where she received her Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Her research at Missouri State University focused on predicting integrity and emotional intelligence with Implicit Association Tests.

Maryann’s role will focus on developing a streamlined hiring process for the Hospitality Asset Management Company. She will also be renewing training procedures, updating the policies and procedures, and ensuring company-wide compliance. She hopes to work closely with Penn State’s schools in the future to create internship opportunities in both business and hospitality.

Chelsea joins our company with numerous years of experience in the marketing industry. Her work has focused on finding innovated ways for corporate sponsors to build their brands through sports marketing. Most recently she was the Manager of Corporate Sponsorship for the State College Spikes. Prior, she worked with Penn State Athletics and managed the sports marketing partnerships between each varsity sport and the corporate partners. Her experience is enhanced by her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Business and followed by her Master’s in Athletic Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

As Digital Marketing Manager, Chelsea is responsible for digital and traditional marketing for those entities represented by Hospitality Asset Management Company. She will direct all marketing efforts and will be responsible for attaining sales targets, building up distribution channels, establishing strategic business relations, and providing ideas for all strategic sales plans and their implementation for each entity.

Hospitality Asset Management Company, headquartered in State College, currently operates six lodging properties in State College including the Days Inn Penn State, Hilton Garden Inn, Super 8, Quality Inn, Nittany Budget Motel and the AAA Four Diamond Award-winning Carnegie Inn & Spa.

In addition, they manage the Comfort Inn and the Comfort Suites located in historic Carlisle, Pennsylvania, as well as Gigi’s Southern Table and the fine dining Carnegie Inn & Spa Restaurant in State College and 1794 The Whiskey Rebellion in downtown Carlisle. They also manage Brewsky’s which are full-service bottle shops in State College and have four locations. Also under construction on the campus of Indiana University is a Hilton Garden Inn scheduled to open September of 2016. The company is a full-service management organization with extensive experience in hotel and restaurant development, financing, and operations.
